Tuesday night, a bunch of my friends gathered around a campfire in the woods behind our house and we just talked and read the Bible and prayed. One guy asked the question, “Why is life so hard?” We all LAUGHED. Does this seem strange?

It doesn’t to me. There are lots of reasons…

1. Life actually is hard.

2. We all know a bunch of answers for why.

3. Knowing the answers doesn’t make life easier.

4. Life would certainly be easier if it weren’t for people in our lives, but we don’t want people out of our lives so we’re stuck.

5. God really is who he says he is and that gives us peace and deep joy and we can laugh at hard questions.

Questions like, why is life so hard? As someone once said, “Life is hard, but God is good.” That’s the truth.
